Philipp Karl Seitz studied at the Nuremberg Art School and moved to Hamburg in 1928. He initially worked as a commercial graphic artist. Since the 1960s, he has been intensively involved in painting and has exhibited regularly since 1967, including at Galerie Commeter. He created numerous views of Hamburg, the surrounding area and the Lüneburger Heide.
