CURT HILLFON. Geometric composition.

Curt Hillfon grew up in Stockholm, but since the 1960s he worked at Österlen in Skåne, where he had a studio in the old distillery in Maglehem outside Degerberga. He was educated in Stockholm at Konstfack 1960—1963 and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts 1966—1971. He had a number of solo exhibitions at galleries around Sweden and he has also had exhibitions at Lund konsthall and Göteborgs konsthall.

His initially delicately balanced geometric, concrete compositions reached over the years a cool precision in the relation of simple objects to each other.

Represented at Moderna museet in Stockholm, Malmö Art Museum, Gothenburg Museum of Art, Helsingborg Art Museum, County Museum in Gävleborg, Kalmar Art Museum, Norrköping Art Museum, Örebro County Council and Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
