Fratzscher studied at the Fachhochschule für Gestaltung in Hamburg and worked as a freelance artist in Buchholz. Born in Rendsburg, he opened his last exhibition in October 2009 at the Kunsthaus Jesteburg. His work has been shown at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Bonn, St. Paul's Church in Frankfurt, and the Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires, among others. The highlight of Fratzscher's artistic work is his solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
