Rut Bryk (1916-1999) ceramicist and visual artist. Bryk studied at the University of the Arts in Helsinki and worked at Arabia from 1942. She is mainly known for her wall reliefs consisting of three-dimensional ceramic tiles. The motif circle is an original combination of elements taken from Byzantium, early Renaissance, folk art and constructivism. Bryk was fascinated by fairy tales and conveyed them in the vivid stillness that we find in her ceramics.
