Warp: unbleached linen yarn Weft: gray melange cow hair yarn at the bottom, ridge of twisted wool yarn, decoration in the form of stylized long slender fir trees in several mixed shades of green, blue, pink and brown-black. The firs stretch the entire length of the carpet. Edged with grey-beige thick cotton bands in lace twill, the carpet, entitled 'Granar', was composed in 1957 by the interior architect Marianne von Münchow b. 1917 She had been invited to exhibit at the 9th Craft Fair in Munich, and won a gold medal there for this rya, signed MvM and HS 'Hemslöjden'.
