Josef Urbach (1889 Neuss - October 18, 1973 Essen); Watercolor on handmade paper, signed and dated 50 lower left, framed behind glass in a passe-partout, labeled on the reverse, gallery bar. dimensions approx. Frame 66 x 57 cm, passe-partout 51 x 41 cm. JU studied at the Düsseldorf School of Applied Arts under Peter Behrens and Fritz Ehmke, later becoming a professor at the Folkwang School in Essen. Member of the "Young Rhineland" and the "Rhenish Secession".
