The painter and sculptor Martin Blaszko comes from Germany and fled to Poland as a teenager in 1933, where he studied with Jankel Adler in Lodz. In 1938 he traveled to Paris and met Marc Chagall before the family emigrated to Argentina in 1939. He connected to the international contemporary art scene and represented Argentina at the 28th edition of 1956. Venice Biennale. In 1990, he was part of the exhibition “Latin American Artists of the 20th Century” organized by the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York.
