Marianne Westman was a Swedish designer, ceramicist and textile designer born on 17 June 1928 in Falun, Dalarna, and died on 15 January 2017. She is regarded as one of Sweden's foremost designers of domestic porcelain. Westman began his career at Rörstrand in Lidköping in 1950 after studying ceramics at Konstfack in Stockholm. She worked at Rörstrand until 1971 and later became known as “Sweden's porcelain mom”.

Westman's work at Rörstrand was characterized by her playful and creative style. She often used stylized nature-inspired patterns and black outlines in her design works. Her tableware and porcelain products had a unique and recognizable aesthetic that came to define Rörstrand's 1950s design.

After leaving Rörstrand, Marianne Westman continued to be active in the design industry. She worked for Skruf's glassworks and various porcelain factories in Germany. She also continued to draw designs for her family's textile studio and explore new materials and techniques in her creation.
