Einar Forseth (1892-1988), Swedish artist and designer, born in Linköping.
Einar Forseth was educated at the Slöjdföreningens school at Valand in Gothenburg and then continued to the Academy. He also made several study trips in Europe.
In 1917 he competed for tile stove models at the Great Home Exhibition, a major product for Upsala-Ekeby for many years before central heating knocked them out. Forseth also made decorations for ceramic objects, several marked with his signature and therefore recognizable. Whether this signature also means that he designed the model is uncertain.
The most famous works of his hand are the gold mosaics in the Golden Hall in Stockholm City Hall in 1923 and stained glass windows in many churches around the country as well as in the cathedral in Coventry in England in 1962.
Yellowed leaf, spot on the right edge.
