Försterling studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Prof. Sonderborg and has worked as a freelance artist since 1979. He experiments with various photographic techniques and can look back on a long list of solo and group exhibitions. His works can be found in the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart and the Museum of Modern Art, New York, among others.
