Rolf Böhlig is one of the most popular Hamburg artists of the post-war period. He studied at the Landeskunstschule (now Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg) with Julius Wohlers, among others, and worked for a time as an advertising graphic artist with Walter Siebelist.
