Provenance and history: According to Claes Fleming's will, Gerhard Albe, the then director of the Maritime History Museum, was allowed to choose the models of Claes Fleming that the museum would take into the collections. Albe chose the models SM 20121-SM 20124. The remaining four had nieces, including Lars Fleming. Claes Fleming was never married and had no children of his own. He built several model afterboats owned by families such as Wallenberg et al.
