Vladimir Kuzmich Sotnikov (b. 1952), twilight, oil on canvas, 1980s, signed in Cyrillic on the back and titled in Russian 'rassvet' (twilight), inscribed on the stretcher frame 'Zemlya and Lusdi' (country and people), ca. 47 x 61 cm, with frame approx. 60 x 74 cm.

Sotnikov comes from Crimea and studied first in Simferopol and later at the well-known Repin Institute in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad). Since the 1980s, he has exhibited his works internationally. The Centre Pomidou in Paris recorded some of his works.
