Provenance: Eldi Saul, bought at by Sala Gaspar, Barcelona in the 70s. Eldi Saul, ran Galleri Gripen in the 1970s which focused on exhibiting contemporary art from Värmland. During a holiday trip to Barcelona in the 1970s, Saul purchased a significant amount of international graphics at the gallery Sala Gaspar and then sold at Galleri Gripen. However, she was met with opposition from the Värmland artists exhibited at the gallery. Saul decided to reconcile with the artists and not exhibit the international graphics during regular opening hours, but allowed stakeholders of the international graphic arts to visit the gallery late at night after closing.
