The original painting "Der Sommer" by Hans Markart (1840-1884) was destroyed when the art museum "Gemäldegalerie Dresen" was bombed on 14/2 1945 by the allied forces in connection with the total destruction of the city. This is one of the few remaining paintings of "Der Sommer".
