Philipp Karl Seitz studied at the Nuremberg Art School and moved to Hamburg in 1928. He initially worked as a commercial graphic artist, has worked intensively on painting since the 1960s and has exhibited regularly since 1967, including at Galerie Commeter. He created numerous views of Hamburg, the surrounding area and the Lüneburger Heide.
