Otto Thämer (1892-1975), On the Elbe oil on wooden panel, signed, ca. 99 x 108 cm, with frame approx. 111 x 120 cm.

Otto Thämer studied at the art academies in Berlin, Munich, Rome and Paris. In 1918 he joined the Altonaer Künstlerverein and in 1920 the Hamburgische Künstlerschaft. In 1926 he was one of the founding members of the North German artist group 'De Warft'.
