Cecil Beaton ( 1904 - 1980 ) large framed oil on canvas of David Warner ( British actor 1941 - 2022 ). Cecil Beaton is known mainly for his photographs of the Royal, rich and famous of his era but was also an acclaimed painter and was featured in The Weekend Telegraph magazine 14/1/66 including this painting of David Warner. Provenance: the painting remained in David Warner's possession until he gifted it to his neighbour and friend who is the the current vendor. Whilst it has been exhibited previously it has never been offered for sale. Frame size 78 x 103cm.
