Description
“I imagined an endless loneliness, emptiness and vulnerability. I thought that we can't help Dawit where he is, but that he needs to know that we are thinking of him and want him home. Maybe that helps a little? I tried to describe that he is not forgotten and is in our thoughts by showing his image and iconic symbol projected on the moon, the way you call the Leather Patch (or Batman, as he is called nowadays). He, and we, see the same moon, on the same planet. He sees that we are calling.
In his cell, the words "the written word wants to be free" are scrawled on the walls, as a way to count the days, instead of counting lines.Rebecca Buse Landmér 42 x 29.5 cm.
Condition
Oramad.
The proceeds from the auction go directly to a special account set up for Dawit Isaak. Note that there are no call-up commissions or strike fees.
