Eduard Bargheer's sparse mosaic-like watercolors still inspire collectors today. The artist strives for the greatest possible harmony of light and color, concentrating on the essential and elementary and revealing hidden architectural structures.
After long planning, the new Bargheer Museum in Hamburg was opened in Jenisch Park in 2017, in the immediate vicinity of the Jenisch House and Ernst Barlach House.
