Provenance: A new style for a new era — Excursions in Art nouveau, Hallwyl Museum, 2022~23

Prince Eugen, in addition to being a painter, was also a designer, including of the popular Waldemarsudde pot. Less well known is his flower vase with a bisquid porcelain decor of sprigs of willow in relief. Obviously a one-off effort, for the vast majority of objects executed in this technique drawn from English Wedgewood are attributed to Prince Eugen's good friend since youth, the artist Gunnar Wennerberg, then artistic director of Gustavsberg.
