Hans Peter Feddersen from Westerschnatebüll is considered one of the most important landscape painters in Schleswig-Holstein. He studied at the Academy in Düsseldorf and was a master student of Oswald Achenbach. The museums in Kiel, Flensburg and Husum still display works by him in permanent exhibitions.
