Karl Schaette (1884 Korbach - 1951 Munich); Painter and participant in the Munich School, in this Lot delivers a landscape under a cloudy sky, autumnal, the leaves of the trees have already fallen and the green of the overgrown river bank changes to yellow and brown. On the distant horizon, the viewer directs his gaze along the course of the river and passes groups of trees and small buildings, shows the Aggertal, the mountains with snow-covered peaks but also green pastures. Dating around 1920, signed lower right "C. Schaette" and inscribed "Mchn." on the stretcher handwritten "Bünghausen". dimensions approx. Frame 95 x 81 x 7 cm, painting 80 x 65 cm.
