Bevan studied at the Royal Art College, London 1960-64, at the same time as Ron Kitaj, David Hockney and Patrick Caulfield. Pop Art became the dominant form of artistic expression, Bevan also exhibited first as an 'OP Artist' and in 1974 he took part in the 'Kinetic Art Exhibition' at the London Arts Gallery. To this day he exhibits regularly in England and France. Since 2001 Bevan lives and works in Uzès, France.
