Stefan Dobritz (b. 1965), Kampen lighthouse on Sylt, oil on canvas, signed, approx. 40 x 60 cm, with frame approx. 53 x 74 cm Dobritz comes from Lübeck and devoted himself entirely to painting after completing his medical studies. Known for his North German motifs in spatula technique, the artist searches for the 'beauty of the moment' and likes to work with complete color compositions and a reduced language of form. Since 1991 he has been exhibiting his works annually on Sylt and in 1994 opened his own gallery in the gatehouse of Gut Hasselburg together with Peter Witt. Today Witt and Dobritz run a gallery in Westerland on Sylt.
