A back To the church office in a rectory south of the highway in Skåne, one day an elderly farmhand, Jöns, came and requested a transfer certificate to a neighboring parish. The provost, who knew Jöns well, expressed his surprise that J. would leave his excellent master, with whom he was so well off in all respects. He reminded Jöns of the good old Bible saying "to be godly and to be satisfied is gain enough." Jöns stood for a (long) moment in his thumbed "hran" (cap) and exclaimed after a long thought: - Yes, sir, Reverend dean, that's me like when the dean applied for the pastorate, yes I'll be paid a little more. The grade was printed at flying speed.
