A Cossack saber m / 1881 made before the Russian Revolution which is noticeable by the absence of stamped stars.
The saber was used by the Cossack cavalry and differs from the Dragon model by its absence of a handguard and paring bar.
The saber is marked with Cyrillic letters and a serial number.
The pod is equipped with a leash ring and a brass dip shoe, a bayonet for the Mosin-Nagant m/ 1891 rifle is also attached to the pod.
The bayonet has a stucco blade and is fitted with the traditional screwdriver shape at the front.
The bayonet is rusty on the surface but the locking mechanism works.
The total length of the saber is approx. 101 cm, the length of the blade is approx. 79 cm, the blade has a blood notch and is double ground at the front.
The pod is painted in black and olive green.
Surface rust on the bayonet and the leash ring.
The attachment to the shaft has cracked.
