In the present triptych, Toengens varies the view into his Cologne staircase at the time.
The artist first studied at the Krefeld School of Art and later at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. His works have been shown at national and international exhibitions, including the Kunstverein Krefeld in 2020 and the Margarete Roeder Gallery in New York in 2005.
