Description

M3 - 999 117.
Leica DBP Ernst Leitz GMBH Wetzlar Germany.
Lens Leitz Wetzlar Summicron 1:2/50 1708169.
Lens Leitz Wetzlar Super-Angulon 1:3,4/21 2054701.
Case, stand, and instruction manual.

Urban Mörner, flight officer in the Swedish Air Force's fighter aircraft, started early on to photograph from his cockpit on the J 29 Tunnan, later also from the J 34 Hawker Hunter and the J 35 Draken. Many of his photos have been published under the auspices of the Air Force and in several aviation magazines.

When he would both photograph and maneuver his single-seat fighter, often in the company of several planes from the same division, he found that the Leica's outer metal parts flashed in a disturbing way when he would shoot at high speed and many times at low altitude. He therefore had these parts painted black, which gives the camera a distinctive patina after many years of use.

Condition
