Description

A Cossack saber w/1881 made before the Russian Revolution, which is noticeable by the absence of stamped stars.
The saber was used by the Cossack cavalry and differs from the Dragon model by its absence of paring bar and hand guard.
The saber is marked VF-5 and K 7036.
The pod is unmarked but provided with a leash ring, brass shoe and holder for the bayonet of the brand Mosin-Nagant w/ 1891 which is unfortunately missing. The tub is painted olive green.
Total length is approx. 102 cm, blade length is approx. 79 cm.
The blade is equipped with a blood groove and is double ground at the outermost point.

Condition

Used wear and Normal wear and tear, some surface rust. The wrist strap is missing.
