Description

A bayonet made by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co Solingen, Germany.
The bayonet was developed for the Argentine version of the Mauser rifle m/ 1891 in the caliber 7.65 x 53.
This copy is stamped with the name of the factory and the number C 1893. Another stamp has been ground away.
The pod and bayonet are number-correct.
Other stamps are letters and symbols on the parer rod, the back of the blade and the sheath.
The curved parry bar was intended to intercept and parry the opponent's weapon in close combat.
Total length approx. 54 cm, blade length approx. 40 cm.

Condition

Used condition, some surface rust ground off stamp.
