Oscar Droege (1898-1982/83), mountain landscape, color woodcut on Japanese paper, signed lower right, approx. 39.7 x 29.5 cm, unframed in passe-partout approx. 60x40cm.

The Hamburg artist studied at the academies in Darmstadt and Düsseldorf. The encounter with Leopold von Kalckreuth led Droege to the woodcut, which shaped his work from then on. Droege had lived near Heikendorf since 1929 and was assigned to the artists' colony there.
