The author (Hannover 1891 - Madrid 1980) was one of the most important set designers of the 20th Century. He was part of the circle of the famous Margarita Xirgu and dealt with Federico García Lorca, to whom he gave a piano. He was also a friend of Manuel de Falla Falla, and he gave him the first box of paints in which Salvador Dalí worked.
