Jean Cocteau (1889-1963), Two faces in profile, pen drawing, 1960, signed, dated '6 Juin 1960' and inscribed in French 'Mon cher ami, faite ce que bon vous semble avec un de mes dessins, s'il vous plait 'votre JC', approx. 19 x 11 cm, mounted behind passe-partout, with passe-partout approx. 24x18cm.

PROVENANCE: Family property in Northern Germany, the owner's grandfather was personally acquainted with Cocteau and received the drawing as a gift in Paris in 1960 directly from the artist.

Condition

Mounting slightly translucent at the upper and lower edges, slight creases and signs of wear, center fold.
