Wolf Kahn, a Jew of German descent, emigrated to the USA at the age of 13, where he began his career as an artist. His work is mainly devoted to the theme of the landscape and his personal view of nature. The influence of the abstract expressionism of his teacher Hans Hofmann can be felt in Kahn's works as well as the atmospheric qualities of American impressionism. His work can be found in numerous well-known museums in New York and North America.
