Meiji circa 1890-1910,
quatrefoil form, finely cast and chased with a kingfisher and wading birds amongst flowers and water plants, signed on the central guard,
Hidemasa Shinjyusai
the reverse with ducks, flying geese, plants and grasses,
all in oxidised metals, gold and coloured enamels,
92mm x 88mm, maximum depth 4mm.
232.8g gross weight.

Condition

a tiny bruise to the enamel on neck of the bird on the first side only viewable through a x10 loupe, a few minute losses (see close up photos).
