Ernest Paul (1877 - 1947, Germany ); in this lot a qualitative oil painting depicting a peasant woman in the forest. While she is braiding, the woman is accompanied by two goats, both of which "feast" on the fresh leaves. The painting can be dated to around 1900 / 1915v. Influences of impressionism can be clearly seen, authentic painting of the time, qualitative animal painting. Golden stucco frame. dimensions approx. 140 x 100 cm, painting 115 x 78 cm.
