Provenance: Riksdagmannagården (See picture 4 from Royal visit) was called the farm where Per and Hilda Nilsson lived together. Per was born in 1865 and Hilda in 1882. They had 6 children – Nils, Per-Ivar, Ingeborg, Lennart, Åkes and our Father Gunnar.
In 1903, Per was elected a member of the second chamber and was a Member of Parliament until his death in 1933. He was the 2nd Deputy Speaker of the 2nd Chamber 1921-1931 and 1st Deputy Speaker 1931-1932. After Per's death, Hilda continued to run the farm together with her sons Lennart and Åke. Nils enlisted in the Foreign Legion and fought for them both in Norway, Africa and finally in Indochina where he died of injuries he sustained in battle in 1947. Per-Ivar became a primary school teacher, Ingeborg married Gösta Nilsson. Gösta became CEO of Scani vabis, sat on the board of, among others, Vin o Sprit and GB-ice cream, etc. Lacquered oak chair , upholstered and upholstered. From the old Riksdagshuset in Stockholm, 2nd chamber no. 94, for representative from Skåne. The chair consists of a back on leg support with armrests, a desk and footrest on the back and a separate seat. The backrest is upholstered and has a contour sawn openwork top with turned knobs like spiers in each corner. The separate seat, a stool, has contour sawn crossed legs, and loose cushion. Backrest, armrests and seat are covered with red machine-woven woolen fabric. Leather at the far end of the armrests. Brass plate with the numbers 94 screwed onto the upper piece. The pulpit has a cover with a hinged lock missing, as well as space for a pen handle and ink horn.
Seat dimensions height 50 cm, width 51 cm, depth 46 cm. The fabric is slightly moth-eaten.
The stool is a chair without back and armrests. Gustav III introduced stools, among other things in the castle's council room, where ministers were allowed to sit on them. A custom that we see lived on through the execution of this Riksdag chair. The name remains today because the office of minister is still called a stool.
The seat can be detached and on its underside is the cabinet maker's signature stamped into the wood: F. RAMBACH. Also 124 in black color.
The following official names are punched in the plate. Sven Rosenberg, Johan Jönsson, Olof Persson, M. Borgström, Johannes Nilsson, Carl Hjalmar Wittzell and Per Nilsson.
