Description

Provenance: Riksdagmannagården (See picture 4 from Royal visit) was called the farm where Per and Hilda Nilsson lived together. Per was born in 1865 and Hilda in 1882. They had 6 children – Nils, Per-Ivar, Ingeborg, Lennart, Åkes and our Father Gunnar.
In 1903, Per was elected a member of the second chamber and was a Member of Parliament until his death in 1933. He was the 2nd Deputy Speaker of the 2nd Chamber 1921-1931 and 1st Deputy Speaker 1931-1932. After Per's death, Hilda continued to run the farm together with her sons Lennart and Åke. Nils enlisted in the Foreign Legion and fought for them both in Norway, Africa and finally in Indochina where he died of injuries he sustained in battle in 1947.
