Folk artist, musician, cobbler, He was born in 1871 in the village of Maggås in Orsa. Died 1947. Parents Jemt Per Persson and Margareta Ersdotter.
He exhibited in Rättvik, 1912 at the Slöjdföreningen and won first prize (8 SEK). Jemt Olov made many different wooden things, but perhaps mostly horses. He mostly produced his creations in birch. You can see his great artistry in everything he did. Many of Jemt Olov's horses are graceful and carved with fantastic flair. He often signed his works but there is no dating. Therefore, it is difficult to determine the age of his production.
