Friederike Lydia Ahrens (b. 1953), Pudelsalon, paper collage on panel, 2014, signed, dated and titled on the reverse, 80 x 60 cm, with frame approx. 87x67 cm.
The works of the Hamburg artist Lydia Ahrens consist of tear-offs, fragments and snippets of billboards, which she combines with an unwavering eye for detail to form a new whole. One of her well-known large-format murals can be found e.g. B. in the 'Delta Bistro' in the Lagerstraße in Hamburg, St. Pauli. After training as a ceramist, Ahrens studied at the HfbK in Hamburg.
