Johan Gudmann Rohde, Danish painter, Art Academy for one year, student of Laurits Tuxen and PS Kröyer, Kunstnerernes Frie Studieskoler. Rohde often stayed abroad, mostly in Italy. However, Rohde made his greatest contribution as a designer of furniture and silver, where he pioneered a clean and unadorned style. He worked for many years with Georg Jensen, which resulted in a good world reputation for this silver company.
