Description
A large butterfly pin brooch set with rubies, marcasite stones and opal, and inlaid with multicoloured enamel, in silver.
This brooch is silver (stamped "925") and is particularly large, measuring 77 x 30 mm, approx.
The butterfly's wings are inlaid with enamel in red, green and yellow.
Set in the butterfly's back is a single, oval-shaped cabochon-cut white opal gemstone measuring 7 x 4 mm, approx.
The eyes are set with cabochon-cut red ruby gemstones.
47 x round, marcasite stones are also set into this butterfly brooch.
A hinged pin and ball is fitted at the back of this brooch.
Total weight: 9.4 grams.
