Ma San Auction present their Asian Art - Antique & Decorative sale.

The sale opens with a private Japanese collection of late Ming dynasty blue and white porcelain, among them rare Kraak wares with Wanli and Tianqi period pieces. From the same collection, there is a substantial run of Edo and Meiji period woodblock prints and manuscripts, ranging from medical and surgical texts to works on heraldry, mathematics and classical Chinese literature.

Among the individual highlights is a Qing dynasty Chinese imperial red wool ground and gold thread 'Ten Dragon' robe, accompanied by a group of Qing textiles including embroidered silk robes, jackets and skirts. To also include archaic Chinese pottery from Han dynasty cocoon jars, Neolithic painted wares to Tang dynasty figures. Japanese bronzes, Gandharan sculpture, Chinese porcelain, lacquerwork, coins and a small group of Southeast Asian and Islamic ceramics complete the sale.
