Anyone who has ever switched on a radio has probably heard him. Anders Eldeman – a radio presenter of that beloved kind that nobody quite seems to become anymore. He came into homes through their radios, as the saying goes on television. In kitchens, living rooms and workplaces, people would tune in as he melodikryssed his way through Saturday mornings or broadcast his own programme Eldemans Blandning.
It is also well known that he collects records. He is said to have Europe's largest collection of gramophone records.
But he collects other things too. At Stockholms Auktionsverk Magasin 5 we can now acquaint ourselves more closely with his toy collection. There we find a few Donald Ducks from the era when Duckburg's finest was a little more oval and had a somewhat more boat-shaped bill. The model from Schuco is an unusual one.
The same goes for the Charlie Chaplin figure from the same manufacturer. And then there is that exquisite Steiff piece featuring Kermit the Frog in absolutely top condition, accompanied by Kalle Stropp who surely has something important to convey.
Those are just a few examples from Anders Eldeman's toy collection, now going under the hammer at Stockholms Auktionsverk Magasin 5.
