Through the care of Skånes Auktionsverk, we are invited into a collector’s home of the welcoming, eclectic kind. You know the kind of living space where a centuries-old Madonna painting hangs alongside Baertling’s geometric triangles. Crossing the threshold into just such a home, we are met with a late Baroque chest of drawers, a beautifully patinated armchair by Hans J. Wegner, Chinese porcelain, Sámi crafts, and a 19th-century mirror whose lunette-shaped crest evokes the delicate flutter of fans in Stockholm salons during the Empire era.
