Birger Nilsson's Weapon & Militaria Collection: Part 1

An Exciting Weapons Collection!
We are now pleased to present three special auctions featuring weapons and militaria from the well-known collector Birger Nilsson of Bara, who began building his collection back in the 1950s.
All the weapons are in good condition, and Birger himself described the aim of the collection as preserving both the appearance and mechanics as they were when in use. He carefully went through most of the items, both mechanically and cosmetically.
With few exceptions, the weapons are fully functional, and most of the locks hold at both full and half-cock. The highly varied collection spans from the 1600s to the 1800s, with many Swedish military firearms and edged weapons. Civilian pieces are also represented, as well as some items from other parts of the world.
There is no shortage of highlights – how about a high-class rifle from the Imperial Armoury in Vienna?
We now present Part I of the collection, and throughout spring 2025, all lots will go under the hammer. In total, the collection consists of approximately 170 lots.
