We have journeyed back to the time before Columbus and other explorers landed on foreign shores, planted flags in the ground, and redrew maps. Stockholms Auktionsverk, the world's oldest auction house in its field, has long been renowned for its specialization in Pre-Columbian artifacts. This time, we are presented with a fine selection of items from Pre-Columbian culture. A burial mask from the Sican culture stands out as an anticipated top lot. Similarly, a double-spouted stirrup vessel with fantastic decorative painting is also expected to draw significant interest. As is almost customary, several anthropomorphic vessels with strong expressions are included, along with a few well-preserved textiles typical of Pre-Columbian culture.
