Stockholms Auktionsverk is delighted to present the first themed auction featuring a unique collection of sketches and drawings by the renowned artist Erik Haamer. This collection includes delicate pencil and charcoal drawings as well as vibrant watercolors and pastels. Among the works are numerous landscape studies, botanical sketches, and depictions of fishermen. The artist himself is also frequently seen in the sketches.
Many of these drawings represent crucial stages in the development of Haamer's now-famous oil paintings, while others remained as ideas. These studies offer an intimate glimpse into Haamer's creative process, from initial concepts to completed works.
