Stockholms Auktionsverk in Hamburg is launching its curated November auction with a large number of exquisite artworks, antiques, and Asian art. Highlights include a variety of silver objects, glass, porcelain, furniture from the period from 1700 onwards, Asian art items and paintings from the 17th to the 21st century. Among the lots up for auction are paintings by artists ranging from Jacob van Hal to Heinrich Hoerle, works by Hamburg artists such as Dorothea Maetzel-Johannsen, contemporary masters or paintings from Thailand, including several works by Anand Panin. 19th-century landscapes, marine paintings, and an outstanding collection of 18th- and 19th-century portraits complete the offering. Among the antiques, two brass alms dishes (Nuremberg around 1500) are particularly noteworthy, as well as the Hercules bowl based on the Hildesheim silver treasure, crafted by Theodor Blume in 1934. Around 1770, Johann Eberhard Carstens created the exceptional grandfather clock with carillon, which will be offered alongside various porphyry vases and other valuable glass and silver objects from the 18th and 19th century. The Asian art section boasts a five-volume painting manual from the Mustard Seed Garden, China, dated 1679, as well as exceptional porcelain pieces, such as the Chinese narrow-necked vase with a coral-red dragon decoration from the Guangxu period and a pair of cloisonné vases featuring the five-color flag of the Republic of China with millefleur decoration. All these treasures, large and small, are on display until November 25th at Gasstraße 4b in Hamburg. Take advantage of the preview and place your bids on November 25th at the auction 'Fine Art and Antiques'.
