Hard covers, ornate initials, gilded edges, obsolete incunabula. Crafoord Auktioner Lund's book auctions come with their own terminology. And now it's time again for the printed word to take center stage as the November Book Auction is presented. In the tradition of the event, it's perfectly fine to randomly pull out a volume from the row of book spines to find something interesting. For example, Gustaf Näsström's classic on Swedish functionalism, Caisa Warg's substantial Hielpreda in Hushållningen För unga Fruentimmer, and the Wright brothers' comprehensive work on Swedish birds. Of international interest are, among others, Quiet Days in Clichy with photographs by Brassai. The same goes for Fulvio Ferrari's book on Ettore Sottsass's amazing ceramics and perhaps also the comprehensive work by the Swedish archbishop Petrus Laurentius with nearly 500 years behind it. In addition to the mentioned items, there are novels, quite a bit about fly-fishing, and some lots from the world of comics.
